Light Therapy and cryotherapy is a great way to encourage the body to heal itself.

Lights at a specific wavelength encourages circulation, which encourages the healing process. Light Therapy helps to relax muscles, stimulate acupressure points, and encourage growth of healthy tissues. It can be used in combination with other therapies to quicken the healing process. 

Light Therapy uses

Breaks in the skin, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, post-op incisions and abcesses. Muscle strains, bruises, soreness before and after exercise. Muscular tears, ligamet & tendon strains and tears. Bone fractures, damages and severed nerves, joint pain and inflammation. Chronic arthritis, laminitis flares, navicular and ringbone. 

Light Therapy is not to be used on pregnant mares, or the abdominal area of pregnant dogs. 

Some conditions may require the "ok" from your veterinarian before light therapy is used. 

Always use caution when using light therapy with photosensitive drugs.
